jan beauty empties

Finally getting around to sharing my January empties.  I've been creating these "project pan" spreads in my bullet journal for some time now. I find that it helps me organize and use up products as well as keep track of things i love and how long each product can last me. Most of the products that end up in these monthly empties are deluxe sized samples that come from gift with purchases and Sephora Play (i do love this subscription, I think its good value, but 2020 is all about conscious buying and decluttering so I've canceled my subscription for now.)

Being with a newborn in the middle of winter - it's a surprise I even managed to get any self care pampering done.

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream |  Laura Mercier flawless skin tone perfecting creme (discontinued) | farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream - this one is always an easy staple. Shiseido have upgraded this several times in the past, though I don't see much difference in each version, this is always an eye cream I can count on. Not too thick (perfect for day and night use)  so it works under concealer. Even though its a thick cream, doesn't cause any under eye milia for me.

Laura Mercier flawless skin tone perfecting creme - a somewhat thicker formula that I thought would be good for winter months. But nothing special to note.

farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm  - These cleansing balms are all the rage after cleansing oils in the beauty world. Though they're kind of gimmicky since they're really solidified cleansing oils, I find it works fairly well similar to other cleansing oils (Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil is my all time fave). Only gripe I have with this, because it's solid form, I can't tell how much I should really pick out from the jar. It feels like I end up using a few fingerfuls for my whole face vs a nickel size of regular oil.

Have you tried cleansing balms? The Elemis one seems to be a new influencer favorite these days. Would be on my list once I can go through my stash.

Here's a sneak peak of what I'm trying to put together to work through my stash.

Love,
Melissa
